Lady Gaga to Headline Coachella

Coachella, known for its diverse lineups and star power, announced its headliners early this year. With its announcement came a lot of buzz – Beyonce, one of the of the biggest artists in the world, was making her debut at the renowned festival. The news was too good to be true, though. After announcing her pregnancy in early February, it was announced that Beyonce would no longer be performing at Coachella. This begs the question: who could replace Beyonce?

In comes Lady Gaga. In February, Gaga impressed us all with her Superbowl performance. After much speculation on which act(s) would replace Beyonce at Coachella, Lady Gaga announces her addition to the lineup via a tweet made on February 28th. Although it may difficult to live up to the expectations that come along with Beyonce’s unmatched performances, Gaga holds her own with her well-known unique, elaborate stage productions and flawless performances. She’ll be joining the ranks with other high-caliber performers; Gaga headlines on Saturday while Radiohead leads the Friday bill and Kendrick Lamar heads the Sunday line-up.

Coachella will take place on the weekend of April 14th to 16th and April 21st to the 23rd, in Indio, California.
